Learning From My Gambling Blunders

First to clarify the reason I wrote this article. I have been wagering on the web or at a brick and mortar betting houses for many years. I have discovered, the dependency can take a hold of you and you will not even realize it until you are flat broke. Especially if you’re on a winning streak. I have gone through many thousands of dollars in a very tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It appears you are just having fun until you decide to pay attention to your defeats and the guilt settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can earn it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you become sick in your gut and the more you attempt the quicker you are deprived.

When you notice that you’re ahead, STAY on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, don’t tell yourself, "well just maybe one more" and over and over again, believe me, this plan hardly ever works. Say you’re betting on slots, have a bankroll put aside prior to beginning your play. DO NOT go over that limit, regardless how captivating. If you happen to win, put that in a different pot. Don’t use your successes no matter what. As soon as you have gambled through your original set limit, call it a day. Head out, whether it is on the net or at a land based casino, do not stay around. Always keep in mind, there will be a different day, another time.

Keep in mind, betting should be FUN not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcan’t manage the cost, do not even start.
