The largest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an Amerindian casino in Tama, with 127,669 square feet of casino space, 1,500 slot machines, thirty table games, such as vingt-et-un, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous types of poker; as well as three eatery’s, bimonthly productions, and betting classes. One more large Amerindian casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 one armed bandits, and fourteen table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are several other popular Iowa gambling halls, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a river boat gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend paddle wheel boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. Another Iowa river based casino, The Isle of Capri, is open never closes, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river based gambling den in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday blackjack events.
Iowa casinos offer a great amount of tax money to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has permitted the budgeting of a good many state wide activities. Visitors have grown at a fast percentage along with the request for processors and a growth in working people. Iowa gambling halls have been instrumental to the growth of the economy, and the enthusiasm for wagering in Iowa is across the board.
