Additionally, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is open 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and four dining rooms. There are several other popular Iowa gambling dens, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a river boat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. One more Iowa water based casino, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday twenty-one tournaments.
Iowa casinos provide an awesome deal of tax revenue to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has permitted the funding of many commonwealth wide projects. Tourism has grown at a fast percentage along with the requirement for processors and a gain in employment.
